Who we are
Puff Planet is a puzzle game made by Gnomish. This policy describes the game and its optional online community.
Local play
Campaign saves, save labels, outfits, settings, your puzzle designs and downloaded creations are stored on your device. Local play does not require sign-in. Before enabling online access, a birth date is checked only on the device. The date is not saved or transmitted; only an adult/offline eligibility result is stored locally.
Your online account
If you enable the community and sign in with Google, Google/Firebase processes your sign-in identity and email to authenticate you. We store your community user ID, chosen screen name, account status and profile. Sign-in tokens are stored privately on your device. Other players do not see your Google email.
What the community stores
We process shared level and island data, solution proofs, titles and descriptions; comments, replies, spoiler choices and votes; fun and difficulty ratings; downloads, play and completion records; followed creators, in-game inbox activity, and abuse reports. If you use community features, your current outfit and game achievement statistics can appear on your public profile.
Why we use it
We use this information to verify puzzles, publish and browse creations, show ratings and aggregate play statistics, deliver replies and followed-creator updates, prevent repeated submissions and abuse, and moderate reports. We do not sell personal data. The app includes no advertising or third-party analytics SDK.
Who can see it
Screen names, shared creations, descriptions, comments and public profile information are public within the community. Reports are private to moderation staff. Google Firebase provides authentication, hosting and database services. An operator-controlled verification and moderation service processes submissions. Providers may process technical connection data such as IP addresses for security and service operation. Network requests use HTTPS.
Your choices
You can play offline without an account. Family settings disables online requests on this installation. You can delete your shared creations and comments, block creators and submit reports. Downloaded copies may remain on other players’ devices after a creation is removed online.
Delete your account
Settings → Privacy & community → Delete online account requests deletion of your Puff Planet community account and associated online data. You can also request deletion at https://puff-planet-7eca4.web.app/delete-account. This does not delete your Google account or your local game saves. The verification service processes requests when it is online.
Children and families
The offline campaign and puzzle-making tools are available to children and adults. Online browsing, downloading, sharing, comments, ratings and profiles are restricted to players aged 18 and over. A neutral age check runs before online access. Younger players and players who have not completed that check stay offline. Family settings can disable online access; re-enabling it requires the phone’s screen lock and adult eligibility. Turn online access off before letting a child use an adult’s device. Do not share personal information in names, descriptions or comments.
Retention and contact
Account data is kept while your community account exists; deletion removes associated records from the active service. A minimal deletion receipt (account ID and completion time) is kept for at least two hours, until the worker’s next cleanup, to stop an old sign-in token recreating the deleted account. Anonymous aggregate play and download counts on other creators’ content may remain; they no longer identify your account. Previously downloaded copies are outside our control.
